A SPRING REFRESH

A SPRING REFRESH

I don't know about you guys, but every season I like to add a little something new.  Accessories really seem to do the trick for me.  This season a new pair of fresh loafers and a statement necklace will really pep up last years white, linen blazer.  Also, I am currently coveting the hermes satchel in this beautiful, blue, but that is wishful thinking.  As for the house- Bode (our bulldog) really needs a cute, clean bed.   Also, I've started hoarding great accessories for the future house.  I'm still obsessing over this scalloped lantern and recently purchased this glass knot for the show house-  it is so beautiful I had to get one for myself as well.

1. Loafers - Tods
2. Lantern - Coleen & Co.
3. Tassel Necklace - Calypso
4. Satchel - Hermes
5. Glass Knot - Antique Store
6. Dog Bed - Amy Berry Design

STAGING 101

Staging Client

Dee & I met a lovely new potential client yesterday that wants our help staging her house before she puts in on the market next month.  I personally love a staging client because it gives immediate satisfaction.  There are no lead times or backorders- everything must be in stock and ready to roll.  The challenging aspect of such a job is melding your style with that which is already in the house.  Most staging clients want you to use what they have and incorporate some new, fresh pieces and this one is no different.

Here is a quick little idea board that we are putting together for this new client.  Let me know your thoughts.  I would love to know if you enjoy staging, how you work it and if you take on these types of jobs as well.

EXTERIOR PERFECTION

Usually I'm vying for the latest handbag or some rockstuds at bergdorf to add to my collection, but right now the only thing that's on my mind is a house.  It's become an obsession and I won't stop until we find something.  We've seen everything from capes, to center hall Colonials, but nothing yet has felt like home.  I've figured out why...  It's damn pinterest's fault.  I've been stalking houses for years- I have a whole board devoted to them called "exterior perfection".  How can I settle on the fixer uppers we've been seeing when I'm left dreaming of the below?

Clearly these are not starter homes and I need to get a grip lol...
We're back at it this weekend.  Wish us luck!!
