Needlepoint Loafers

To monogram or not to monogram?  My answer is always, unequivocally, yes.  But are these worth the money?  I think so.  Yes, they're $165, but they are beyond adorable!  You can purchase them at A&L where they have a variety of options to choose from.

I am going back and forth on this and would appreciate any feedback.
Hope everyone fared well with the storm this weekend.

My New Style GF

Move over Olivia, there is a new fashion maven in town that I am obsessing over.  Vivianna Volpicella, the assistant fashion editor at Vogue Nippon.  She is the perfect mix of preppy, classy, chic & fun.

Apartment Envy

My boyfriend, Alex, and I are on the hunt for a new apartment.  It's been two years in our tiny (but adorable) place and it's time for a change.  We have found a few, but nothing that makes our hearts melt like our first place immediately did.  Regardless, I've already begun redecorating our future pad in my head.  My favorite color is orange and I would love to incorporate it, somehow, into the decor.  Here are some amazingly, chic examples I will try to follow...

The color is so happy and vibrant.  It really perks up any room.
Here are some orange accent pieces I am considering:

Amazing West Elm Rug

Adorable Homegoods Lamps

Etsy chevron pillow

West Elm lacquer tray

My faux Rothko obsession continues

Which accent pieces will I choose?
...I should probably wait until we find an apartment.

The Bigger the Better...

I've been a fan of statement necklaces ever since my Nanny let me play in her jewelry box.  I definitely believe that a fantastic, gigantic necklace can transform an outfit.

Mary McDonald did it perfectly throughout Million Dollar Decorators.

Tory Burch is always rocking enormous pieces and i adore it.

My fashion gf, Olivia Palermo, is also known for her accessories.

My latest obsession is this huge, lucite choker that ALL of my clients have.
They sell is at Searle in NYC and it comes in a multitude of colors.

I wasn't about to spend $178 on plastic so I searched for a knock-off.
I found one at Anthropologie for $68.

I kind of love the emerald color.
I think I may have to purchase this for the holidays!

Enjoy this gorgeous day!

I can't get enough stripes...

If you ask my bf, Alex, he will tell you that he is so over my stripe addiction.  I can't help myself.  The french, sailor shirt & all things striped have been a forever classic.  Grace Kelly with a fabulous beach hat and chic, white bikini... it doesn't get more beautiful. My current favorites are

1. JCrew Maritime Dress- $88
2. Pink Seersucker Soludos- $28
3. Iomoi Custom Bags- Starts at $100 depending on size

Instant Update- Animal Attraction

I just got my latest e-mail from Crew and I was immediately inspired.  I want everything.  That button down is amazing, as are those pumps and I die for those cords...  This trend can be classic, chic or super trashy.  Case and point:  Class Act: Kate Middleton wearing a simple leopard clutch to update her amazing DVF Sheath.  A touch of Animal print- like a scarf, a great pump, or a clutch, can really make an outfit   J.Crew has an amazing leopard belt ($60) that I wear more than I'd like to admit.  This is the perfect example of a little goes a long way.  A lot is just plain horrible.
