ENTRY CHAIR SEARCH

image via bluedogbelle

When I found this photo on pinterest my heart skipped a beat.  I am completely obsessed with this chair.  It would be beyond adorable in our entry and I must find it asap.  I'm thinking of scouring thrift stores in the next few weeks to find a similar frame and then attempting to reupholster it myself in one of our Cowtan & Tout leopard prints.  Do you think that's too ambitious?  I think I can do it.  Has anyone every tried to reupholster something themselves?  I found a DIY tutorial here on one of my client's blogs.  Lets see if I'm brave enough to attempt it

A PATIO UPDATE

Look for Less

My Future sister in law wants to update their porch so I have been scouring pinterest to find a look.  If anyone knows the designer on this project please post the name in the comments!  My version will cost you around $700, but we can get the price down even more just by white washing their current wicker furniture and adding some new linen cushions (target has very inexpensive ones).  That would keep the cost under $400!  What do you guys think?  Hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July!

FOR MY GIRLS

Bridesmaid Gifts

I've done a few posts about gifts for my bridesmaids.  I want something special, that really tells them I've thought about their style, what they love and how much they each mean to me.  I love the idea of all of these items.  The jack rogers are adorable to throw on at the party.  They're comfy and easy to dance in.  I adore this robe as well.  It reminds me of one of our Manuel Canovas old school toile's and it would be so cute for pictures.  The monogrammed bag is completely adorable and can be customized for each bridesmaid... different color options, stripes, animals, tassels, anything.  Last but not least those earings.  Die.  Most gorgeous color.  They're actually more perfect for my sister's wedding, but either way...
Have a wondeful weekend ladies!

INSPIRED BY THE LITTLE DUDE

Look for less- Little Boy's Room

I found this adorable little boys room on pinterest by interior designer, Liz Caan. I think it's the cutest thing I have ever seen. A ton of my friends have kids & I thought this would be the best transitional toddler room ever. Don't you agree? With my look for less breakdown it can be done for under $400! Don't you guys just love it? Hope so!

WEDDING FAV'S - MY MAIDS

I adore this photo.  All the girls having a blast getting ready and drinking champs.  I was going to go the traditional monogrammed robe route for my bridesmaids, but I think this is soo much cuter.  Who doesn't love a good white, crisp, popped collar... add over sized and a monogram and it's just about perfect.  I hope my ladies are smiling this wide next year... What do you guys think about the menswear inspired shirt idea for pre-wedding pics?  There are great options here from shop momento and they are very well priced!  Have a great weekend ladies!

What a day in NY!

A cute gray day...

Hope you guys had a great weekend! What a day to come back to work! I don't know about you all, but NYC was gorgeous this weekend and now Monday is a rainy mess. It's a bummer for sure, but at least it is rainy while I'm in the office and it did not dampen my weekend at the park. When I wake up and see that it's rainy I get in a bit of a slump. I tend to go for my go to rain outfit of black pants, hunters, chunky knit and maybe a fun earring, but that's pretty much it. Today I was inspired by a client of mine who looked super chic in her skirt, lanvin flower necklace and boots. Above is a similar look that I have chosen to break down in an inexpensive fashion. Hopefully my next rainy day outfit will be just as cute! By the way... don't you LOVE this Bridier Baubles necklace?! It's adorbs and SO well priced it's a steal!!

Wedding Favorites- The Monogram

Alex thinks I'm NUTS with my monogram obsession.  If I could monogram my underwear (actually that's a cute idea) for the day of the wedding I would.  I think it's so adorable to proudly display your new initials at the reception.  Here are a few idea's of how to do so (obviously choose one or two, not all).  They are all such fab idea's... I think the menu's and napkins are my fav.  What about you girls?  Have a lovely weekend!

Wedding Favorites- Bridesmaids Blush

I would like a few things in my bridesmaid's dresses.  I love blush pink, they must be flowy and I'm thinking long.  I want my girls to look hot and be comfortable enough to dance and party with me.  Also, I like the romantic vibe of a long dress.  I think it goes with the vineyard, relaxing vibe we're going for.  We haven't found the dresses yet, but I'm loving Amsale.  Will keep you posted.  Have a lovely weekend!

Need for Tweed

Need for Tweed

The picture above inspired me to look for a new tweed jacket for spring.  It's the perfect weight for the still chilly, but kinda hot weather of this season.  I love the classic feel for work and how you can edge it up with some skinny jeans, tee, a hot pair of shoes and a killer necklace for a night out.  These are pretty well priced and Zara has some cute ones as well.  Especially this little yellow number, here, but I need one that can transition from work to fun and I think that one's a bit too trendy for the showroom.  What is your favorite way to wear tweed?

Weekend Recap- Our Party!

Our party was a blast.  A ridiculous good time that we were so lucky to have had.  My sister & mother did such an amazing job putting it together.  Barbara's house looked incredible- thank you, again, so much for hosting!  You guys are the greatest.  Anyway, as I said, the party was a blast.  These pictures don't do it justice, but enjoy... I am so lucky to be marrying Alex and the party made me so beyond excited for the wedding!!!
