GINGER JAR HEAVEN

Dee & I are busy visiting old favorites this week to accessorize for the upcoming showhouse.  We spent the late afternoon scouring galleries in Chelsea and then we headed to Brooklyn to stop in at one of our amazing friends warehouse.  Her inventory is literally unbelievable and I was salivating today thinking about Alex & my future house.  I cannot wait to let loose in her shop.

That lantern though.

INSPIRATION TO INSTALL

Hi Guys!  We've had such an amazing week.  Firstly, I want to congratulate my baby sister on her beautiful daughter.  Little Lily has graced us with her presence at an itty bitty 5 lbs 10 oz.  You can see her perfect little pic on our instagram page here.

The end of our week was filled with installations.  One of which we blogged about a few weeks ago here...  This inspired our first feature of "Inspiration to Install".  We absolutely adore how this came out and we hope our client feels the same way.  Hopefully we really captured the feminine, sophisticated vibe we were going for.  I absolutely love the quatrefoil table by Stanley and the moroccan looking banquette by Ballard.  They both really made the space.

HIGH POINT ENVY

So, Dee & I have been extra busy and were unable to attend High Point this year.  I've been stalking instagram & facebook for constant updates from my favorite vendors/designers.
Here are my favorites thus far.

Obsessed with everything going on here.

A FEMININE DINING VIGNETTE

Dining Room Vingette

One of our current projects is an amazing studio on the west side in NYC.  It is in a really cool, modern building and the client has a definite feminine, french aesthetic.  Here is a preview of our thought process for her dining area.  A banquette works really nicely in a small apartment because it adds a ton of seating.  We will add some modern art on the left wall as well.  The art work is by Christina Baker - it hasn't been picked yet, but I love her work and think it goes beautifully here to modernize the space a bit.  The picture below does not do the table justice. It has a gorgeous quatrefoil top and these really delicate scroll legs.  We still need to work on lighting and a few finishing touches, but I love how it is all coming together.
